If you’re interested in joining, please take a look at our RULES— for the most part they’re very simple. SHRP is first and foremost about having FUN and being respectful to your fellow RPers.

NOTE: Downpour characters have been added to this list! All Downpour characters that have already been taken have been asked to keep spoilers out of their RPing as much as is possible, but some spoiling might happen. We’re trying our best to keep the RP as spoiler-free as possible. We have tags— #silent hill: downpour RP, #spoilers— that members may use tumblr saviour for.

Many of you are probably already aware this indie label is already releasing the upcoming Downpour soundtrack worldwide the 13th of next month. It turns out the company will also release Book of Memories soundtrack alongside the game’s March 27th release in the states and has plans to release Akira Yamaoka’s past soundtracks to Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Homecoming and Silent Hill Shattered Memories this year as well!

We are happy to announce the release of the full soundtrack to Silent Hill : Downpour worldwide on March 13, 2012.

The album will include the full score by Daniel Licht and the exclusive credit song, “Silent Hill” by Jonathan Davis of Korn.

I thought this information would be of interest to the readers of Silent Hill Historical Society. We are also releasing on March 27, the soundtrack to Silent Hill: Book of Memories (music by Daniel Licht) and will release in 2012 also the soundtracks to Silent Hill 5, 6 and 7.

Hey I just received some new soundtrack info. The Book of Memories soundtrack is coming out digitally on March 27 and on CD on April 17 :)

Silent Hill is a strange series. Since their initial release in 1999, the games have always felt a bit awkward. They had clunky combat, flat voice acting, and numerous other quirks, but despite all of this, they still managed to capture the curiosity of players across the globe. Something about the Silent Hill games was just so alien that it was hard not to be intrigued. Understanding and recapturing that magic is a tall order, but there are plenty of lessons that previous games can teach Vatra Games, the developer behind Silent Hill: Downpour. What the developer has shown looks promising; we just hope it keeps these examples in mind.

The plot is OCCULT HORROR loosely based (then simplified) on the Konami game and Christophe Gans’ film, Silent Hill. An eponymous, fictional American town that acts as a portal for absolute hell; wherein it’s victims are held prisoner and forced to live out their most profound nightmares. While the plot differs depending on the player, this particular story follows 15 teenagers headed for summer camp along the river of a bordering town, Shepherd’s Glen. But when their bus crashes just outside the county line, they are fated to awaken in the town of ash and darkness. Silent Hill.

I’m looking for two to three ADMINS, depending on the skill level of each admin I approve. (I.e. If there are two admins that are versed in coding but perhaps not at graphics, I’ll obviously be looking for a third to fill that void.) I’m excited to work with people who are willing to collaborate and share ideas. People who are active in their games, easy going, changeable, helpful, patient, and willing to take charge. It’s an information heavy plot and I suspect it will provoke a great deal of thought at any point throughout the game. I need darling hearts who are ready for this jelly. ;) I promise this will be a fruitful experience for all involved and in all aspects. I myself am fairly new to Invisionfree (not at all to role playing, in general) but I learn quickly and I’m fully prepared to handle just about anything.
