Who’s excited for Silent Hill: Revelation to hit theaters this Halloween?

Joined a community on Facebook that shares Silent Hill collections, so I put together my collection for a photo. This is missing my Downpour copy because Brian/Daguru has it. :D

There’s some fanart I’ve bought/been gifted in there and some none official shirts. But most of it it either official or autographed. My nurse shoes are autographed by Mary Elizabeth, my skull is autographed by Menton3 and my copy of Past Life is autographed by Tom Waltz.

I don’t own SH:H because I didn’t own a console to play it on when it came out, so I haven’t gotten a chance to buy it yet. I played the game entirely at a friends house.

I also tacked on my cosplay costumes cause they are probably the most expensive part of my ‘collection,’ even if they aren’t official :P

If you have any questions, feel free to ask :D

Lovely Silent Hill collection! :D

We got all the source code that Konami had on file — which it turns out wasn’t the final release version of the games. So during debug we didn’t just have to deal with the expected ‘porting’ bugs, but also had to squash some bugs that the original team obviously removed prior to release, but we’d never seen before. A lot of assets such as textures and sound had to be taken out of the compiled game, and that brings with it a host of unique issues, especially taken on top of the tricky coding workarounds at play in the original games. We certainly had our hands full. I think at one point Heather was blue.

Dear Silent Hill fans, Due to unfortunate circumstances, the franchise’s debut on the PS Vita, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, has been delayed to October of this year. We deeply apologize for this delay and hope to further update you on the development soon. Thank you for your continued patience.

chemiro:

So word around the web is that Book of Memories is delay yet again. Still no word from Konami though I hope we will have some official word soon. I would like to point out however that Konami never officially said their would be a May release, it was only the retailers, the company officially only gave a vague Spring 2012 release on their site.

If this new delay rumor is true it is disappointing. I really hope we will get some sort of press release about the delay this time around from Konami. I’m all for delaying a game if it will make it better (lord knows HD Collection and Downpour needed more time for the technical issues!) just be sure to let the fans know! Is that so hard?

I guess if the Amazon estimated release of October 31 is to be believed they might actually try to market this with Silent Hill Revelation…haha what am I saying this is Konami and this isn’t Metal Gear Solid so fat chance of that happening…

I found this quote and immediately saw an image in my mind of all the Silent Hill 2 characters, so I decided to actually make this picture. It’s silly really and wasn’t difficult to make but I hope you all enjoy it!

Knowing James is such an unsettling experience. Who can be at ease once the twists and turns of his dark, star crossed tragic life are known? What did he show you; what did you feel? Hope, fear, denial, revulsion, hate, acceptance? And, hey, this all applies to me more deeply than you know. I’ll say one thing for sure about knowing James. He makes us feel alive. Mary felt it: “James, you made me happy!” So, um, I’m not sure a signing will release the hold he has on any of us. The best result we can hope for, maybe… is that we get to look in each other’s eyes, and see the leave ending.

coffeeforeden asked: So do you guys know anything about Book of Memories and it's release date? Some places say May22, some May 31, some say sometime in October. Thanks!

There has been no official release date. Sorry.

Love Psalm Lyrics

There are tons of people working hard to get this patch done, to fix your complaints. Yeah, it sucks HD Collection had issues… so you’re going to get mad when “Konami” does the right thing? None of this is happening becaues you got ANGRY and PISSED and YELLED about it. It’s happening because there were problems that you made known were widespread and important. Negativity/cynicism accomplishes nothing. In fact it makes it harder to fix things because people can just shrug and say “you know that crazy SH fanbase!” We all know there were issues. But when you GET WHAT YOU WANT (a Konami statement about a patch in progress) …it’s cynical to essentially ignore it, and pretty frustrating for the people who are trying to take care of your complaints.
Tomm Hulett (Producer for the Silent Hill franchise)

During the recording sessions for SH HD Collection, Mary, Akira, and Troy did some SH concerts and I remarked how I wanted to bring that live energy to our credit track. Since BoM was all about rewriting the past, I thought it would be cool to take Love Psalm and remix it, finally putting lyrics to the melody, and bring in Akira to do something as if he’d never left. Then during our BoM recordings, Troy wrote up the lyrics and worked on hammering out the song. Mary also brought in Eyeshine (band frontman: Johnny “the Stampede” Yong Bosch) to perform the track.
